Christmas Cards

We have already received Christmas cards from our friends from the USA and Thailand! Our students sent e-mail letters to their new pen pals from Thailand.

AFRICA

Students of 9 FL, 10 FL and 11 FL took up the call to send some Christmas cards and school kits to the children from an orphanage for victims of war and AIDS in Uganda.
We hope our presents, which have been sent today, will put a smile on the faces of such vulnerable children.

World Aids Day (Christmas Cards Project)

Hello Everyone

Last year I received a letter from Albert Kunihira who works at an orphanage
for victims of war and AIDS in Uganda. I have included Albert's letter below.

I sent the letter to everyone who joined the project and asked if they would send some cards to the children in Africa, who had never received a card before.
Many schools generously sent cards without ever expecting anything in return.

Albert took photos of the children reading the cards. They had a wonderful party and distributed school kits and cards to the children. The link to their website with photos of last year's celebration is http://www.aymu.org/Sponsorship/index.html

If you would like to make a difference in the life of a child in Africa please send some cards to

Albert KunihiraCountry Director/AIDS & PEACE Activist Africa Youth Ministries UgandaP.O. BOX 20029,KAMPALA-UGANDA
There are details on the website if you would like to sponsor a school kit for an orphan.

Regards
Judy

Christmas Card Exchange Project

Participating in IEARN “Christmas Card Exchange Project” is a great pleasure for us. Lyceum managed to become one of the members of 21 formed groups. We got the task to exchange greetings with kids from Russia, Georgia, Thailand, Great Britain, Kenya and the USA. It’s so exciting to communicate with the world!

EUROPIAN INTEGRATION

For centuries, there have been proposals for some form of European integration. In the present day, the process of social and cultural integration of European states has been developing.
Ukraine does not belong to the EU, nevertheless we are thinking of going to other European countries to study or work, or on holiday.
This summer a group of our students got an opportunity to visit neighboring Poland. Everyone enjoyed staying as we had much to see, say and ask about common issues. Participants discovered more about Europe through a brand new set of fun and educational activities, tested their knowledge of European culture, history, geography and much more.

St.Valentine's Day

Hello, our names are Lisa Shcrob and Marina Maslova. We had a great opportunity to become teachers of English for one day. We were inspired by the topic of our lesson “St. Valentine’s Day is the best day to open your heart”. It was very interesting to know younger pupils’ thoughts about if puppy love can last a lifetime. Frankly speaking, we were exhausted after six lessons but we were glad to work in a friendly atmosphere and we got fantastic impressions.
