INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education has become a traditional event in the life of the Lyceum. Nadia Knorr, Community Connections US government program alumna, Ella Vorokh and Iryna Goldrina, TEA-2001, 2002 alumni joined their efforts to exchange experiences in the United States and promote programs which attract future leaders to study abroad.

TEA program

Our teachers of English Iryna Goldrina and Ella Vorokh are TEA alumni.Due to the program they had unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills, and increase their knowledge about the United States. They traveled to the United States to participate in a 8-week professional development program at Montana State University. The program included coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, curriculum writing, teaching strategies , educational leadership, as well as the use of computers for Internet, word processing, and as teaching tools.Great trips to U.S. cultural sites and academic support were also provided throughout the program.
This year U.S. Department of State and IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board) renewed an open competition for secondary-level teachers of English as a Foreign Language and social sciences for the Eurasia/South Asia Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA).Deadline is December15,2006.
Don't waste time, apply to TEA! Good luck!
